Abby and Andy’s journey of love did not begin in Redondo Beach. For over two years, the only times they were able to spend together were short visits, consisting of days, or if they were lucky, weeks at a time. Living on different coasts posed challenges they each had to face. Different time zones, demanding work schedules, skipping holidays together, and finding time to communicate via facetime, phone calls, and texts, were just some of the obstacles the couple had to overcome. However, they used their long-distance relationship as the best excuse to travel to some striking and awe-inspiring locations around the world. Croatia, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Sayulita, Kauai, New Orleans, Atlanta, Miami, and all over California were some of the amazing places they were able to experience together. Traveling to so many places for long periods might drive some couples crazy and apart if they aren’t meant for each other. For Andy and Abby, they grew closer as they learned more about each other and deepened their love. The earlier days were full of excitement and spontaneity, but they both knew that to fully commit and start a life together, they needed to close the geographic distance between them.
In April of 2023, Abby left her family, friends, and job behind in Florida to move to California. Since the move, Abby and Andy have achieved exactly what they hoped for. This spring, they are extraordinarily grateful to have their beloved family and friends join them in celebration as they begin the most beautiful journey as best friends, as partners, as husband and wife.
